Mainly the microbes include algae, fungi, mycorrhizal, and bacteria. These are applicable to the plant roots, shoots, and other surfaces. It increases root biomass and capacity. There are two techniques of fermentation that are submerged or solid-state, and these transform the production of biofertilizers.

  • They fixed the nitrogen within the soil. Moreover, after the solubilization of the phosphorus, they make it available for the plants.
  • For sustainable agricultural practices, these are good choices because they produce the plant nutrients naturally.
  • It ensures the availability of the micronutrients to the plants. That directly promotes the growth of the plants. 
  • These biofertilizers are environment-friendly and protect the soil from chemicals. There will be no pollution added to the environment due to this. 
  • Moreover, these are chemical-free agents that retain soil fertility. With the use of these fertilizers, the plants are also able to protect themselves against the diseases. Moreover, with time the overall plant strength increases too. 
  • Biofertilizers also work in the favor of soil to destroy the harmful chemicals in the soil.

  • Besides this, they also conserve the natural sources of fertilizers and save them for use in future generations.
  • These are not very expensive. That’s why these are an affordable option for the farmers. Their ease of availability also improves sustainable agricultural practices. It induces less harmful effects on the water, soil, and air quality.

These fertilizers boost the plant growth. 

2. Compost biofertilizers and their roles

These fertilizers are a great source of nutrients for plants. It increases the bacterial procedures that quickly break down and transform the waste products. These are environment-friendly and mostly prepared within the sugar industries. These include the essential nutrients, vitamins, and antibiotics that are growth-promoting for the plants. Besides this, it also increases the soil fertility. These are good options for the farmers. It increases the overall production rate of the crops.

They also promote the production rate with the less harmful effects on the environment. Moreover, they also protect the plant’s parts against various pathogens. They induce stress tolerance against the biotic and abiotic factors.
